This is John and we want to celebrate one of our favorite ingredients in candy making. Chocolate has been a primary part of confectionery creation for hundreds of years and we love to put it together with other ingredients to make the delicious truffles, toffees, and other confectionery treats that so many people enjoy.

Hi! Welcome to this wonderland that is Elizabeth’s Gourmet Toffees blog! What is Elizabeth’s Gourmet Toffees? And why do they have a blog? Good questions!

Let’s see if we can answer those questions for you. We’ll start with, what is Elizabeth’s Gourmet Toffees? We’re a company that started just a little over a year ago, making and selling the finest confections in downtown Wausau. We make delicious toffees, truffles, caramels and other sweet treats in a wide variety of unique flavors. One of our most popular flavors is our chocolate bacon toffee. Mmmm, delicious!

We named our little confectionary after our partner’s mother, Elizabeth. You see, Elizabeth always made homemade candies every holiday and well, Katrina’s got a little bit of a sweet tooth now. So, Katrina and I are making these scrumptious delights for everyone to enjoy after a hard day at work.

And as to why we have a blog? We have a blog to talk to you, our fans, and you, those who aren’t our fans yet. This is a time for us to share with you our ideas, our thoughts, and maybe a few of our recipes.
